Anyone who has stayed with us here at Valle Laguna will know that the Trading Post in Laguna is a firm favourite of mine. It’s my number one recommendation to guest for dinner on Friday night, and chances are it’s where you’ll find me most Friday nights. Along with a large gathering of locals! It’s the perfect way to kick off a great weekend. The food is fantastic, they have a great cocktail list and the atmosphere is relaxed and quirky. In the warmer weather I would recommend a table out on the deck, but you’ll have to book early!

Stonehurst is a gorgeous vineyard and again, one of my most highly recommended places for guest to visit. It’s a short drive from us, and the wine tasting in the sandstone cellar door or courtyard is a really lovey experience.

Now no visit to the Wollombi Valley is complete without a visit to the historic Wollombi Tavern. Recently re furbished (due to yet another flood!) this really is the heart of the village. This is an old style Aussie pub with great pub food and a lovely outside deck area or you might prefer the shaded beer garden.
