Autumn @ Valle Laguna

Hello Autumn,

Well the 1st of March might be the official start of Autumn, but Mother Nature didn’t get the memo. It is still really warm here. 🥵 The only hint of Autumn are the slightly cooler nights.

Whats happening at the farm? Well February is the best time for us to take holidays so we escape the heat and take ourselves off skiing. Most people know I love horse riding but it is not really Trent’s thing so I feel really lucky that we can share skiing.

That said you never really get to switch off completely. I manage the bookings remotely and our fabulous farm managers step in and take over the day to day running of the farm. Aside from looking after all of the animals, they are on hand to meet and greet guest. Time off is defiantly a team effort!!

Autumn is a beautiful time on the farm. I get motivated to tackle the vegetable garden and start preparing my winter crops. I know summer is typically considered to be the best season, but I find the extreme heat and dry conditions really challenging. The heat takes its toll on me and the garden!

There is also a flurry of activity around the valley. Tempting new Autumn menus appear at our local cafes and restaurants and we start planning for the Easter break and April school holidays. Not to mention we see a pick up in guests attending weddings!

If you are tempted to get away for a little break I would really encourage you to book early. We are offering a 10% discount of direct bookings. You can check availability on our website and don’t forget to use the PromoCode: Autumn2024.

Whether it’s collecting the eggs in the morning for breakfast or feeding the horses, we are always happy for the kids to lend a hand.
